Willie Vaughn, 44, of Albuquerque, has been arrested in connection with the September 6, 2011 robbery of the Bank of West branch located at 5401 Gibson Blvd SE in Albuquerque.
Vaughn, who had been wanted on a federal warrant for the bank robbery since March 6, 2012, was arrested on Thursday, April 12, 2012 by the Albuquerque Police Department’s Repeat Offender Project team.
Vaughn is expected to have an initial appearance in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque on Friday.
The Bank of the West was robbed by an individual who gave a teller a note demanding cash. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
