Robbery of Green Bank in Houston


The FBI seeks the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed the Green Bank located at 5018 San Felipe in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. The man is pictured in a photograph from one of the bank’s surveillance cameras at the end of this press release.

At approximately 3:00 p.m., the man walked into the bank and handed a note to the teller. He threatened he had a gun, but no weapon was seen by witnesses. The teller gave the robber some cash. He got away on foot. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The bank robber is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 5’7”-5’8” tall, and weighing 155 pounds. He wore dark clothes; large, dark sunglasses; and a Houston Astros baseball cap during the robbery.
