Robbery of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank Branch in Houston


The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who “cased” one bank, then within the hour robbed the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank located at 12702 West Lake Houston Parkway in Houston, Texas. During both appearances, the man wore a red hooded sweatshirt from Atascocita High School. Photos from both banks are at the end of this press release.

At approximately 10:00 a.m., the man walked into the Capital One Bank located at 19311 West lake Houston Parkway. He acted suspiciously and left the bank. At approximately 10:40 a.m., he entered the second bank and committed the robbery. He approached a teller and handed that teller a note that demanded money. The teller provided the robber with some cash, and he fled on foot, heading south. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The robber is described a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’10”-5’11” tall, 150-160 pounds, with a thin build. He wore a red colored, hooded sweatshirt with “Atascocita Eagles” on the front in blue. He wore a black T-shirt underneath the sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and dark plastic, framed sunglasses. He was unshaven.
