Silent Bandit Wanted for Five Bank Robberies


The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the QNB Bank branch at 901 South West End Boulevard in Quakertown, Richland Township (Bucks County) on April 17, 2012.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the subject entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to the teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area on foot.

The robber, known as the “Silent Bandit,” is believed to have been involved in five bank robberies (the QNB Bank robbery included) in the past two weeks in Lehigh County, Bucks County, and the Trenton area. The robberies occurred at banks located inside grocery stores. The subject is described as an olive skin male in his late 40s or early- to mid-50s; 5’6” tall with a medium build; and having short black or dark hair and a bushy mustache.
