Searching for Suspect Who Robbed US Bank Branch in Rockwood


The Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Chief Bill Stinnett of the Rockwood Police Department (RPD) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed the US Bank today.

At approximately 1:33 p.m., the suspect entered the US Bank located at 134 North Gateway Avenue, Rockwood, Tennessee, displayed a note, and demanded money. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male, age 25-30, approximately 5’8” to 5’9” tall, with brown hair, a closely trimmed beard, and weighing about 175 pounds with a thin to medium build. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a white tee-shirt, a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, and a camouflage baseball hat with orange writing on it.

After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

A reward is being offered for any information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to please call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or RPD at 865-354-3388. This matter is being jointly investigated by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and the RPD.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
