Attempted Bank Robbery by the Silent Bandit


The FBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual believed to be responsible for five bank robberies in the past two weeks in Lehigh and Bucks Counties and the Trenton area. An attempted robbery occurred earlier today at a PNC Bank branch in Flemington, New Jersey.

The robberies all occurred at banks located inside grocery stores. The subject is described as an olive-skinned male in his late-40s or early-50s, 5’6” tall, with a medium build, short black or dark hair, and a bushy mustache.

The subject is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI in Philadelphia 215-418-4000 or the FBI in Newark, New Jersey at 973-792-3000. There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture, and tipsters may remain anonymous.
