Three Bank Robberies in Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano Beach

During a span of one hour this afternoon, three banks in Broward County, Florida were robbed—a Wells Fargo Bank in Ft. Lauderdale, a BB&T in Pompano Beach, and a Chase Bank in Deerfield Beach.

A suspect is in custody for the Chase Bank in Deerfield Beach robbery. The FBI believes the Wells Fargo Bank in Ft. Lauderdale and Pompano Beach robberies were conducted by the same individual. Please see below for additional information:

Bank: Wells Fargo
Address: 5991 Ravenswood Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Approximate time of the robbery: 1:00 p.m.
Details: Robber entered the bank, implied there was a weapon, and demanded money from a bank employee. No injuries, no information available about whether money was taken.

Address: 300 E. Sample Road Pompano Beach, FL
Approximate time of the robbery: 1:50 p.m.
Details: Robber entered the bank, implied there was a weapon, and demanded money from a bank employee. No injuries, money was taken, but the amount will not be released at this time.

Address: 1031 S. Military Trail, Deerfield Beach, FL
Approximate time of the robbery: 1:55 p.m.
Details: Suspect in custody, no further information is available at this time. This robbery does not appear to be related to the other two bank robberies.
