Willcox agents patrolling near Huachuca City stopped a pickup truck on Highway 90 carrying 231 pounds of marijuana hidden in a custom compartment within the truck’s bed. The discovery was made possible with the help of a service canine. Two individuals were arrested in conjunction with the seizure, valued at $115,500, and now face federal prosecution for narcotics smuggling.
Casa Grande agents discovered an abandoned pickup truck with a hard-shell camper near Stanfield, Ariz. Inside the camper, agents found just over 1,550 pounds of marijuana valued at $775,000. The drugs will be turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
