The FBI and the Robbinsville Township Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. on December 6, 2011. Shortly thereafter, the Robbinsville Police Department received several 911 calls reporting shots fired in the area of 1 Union Street. While Police were responding to the incident an additional call was received reporting a male shooting victim in the area of 4 Union St. Upon arrival, police observed the 50 year old male victim lying in front of 4 Union St. The Police learned that a black male and a Hispanic male robbed the victim of cash during a scuffle and then shot the victim as he tried to flee. The two suspects left the area Westbound on Union St. in a black Ford Ranger being operated by an unknown white male. The FBI and Robbinsville Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit continue to investigate the incident.
Police developed composite sketches of two of the suspects involved in this incident. They are described as follows:
Wanted Poster 1: Black Male, 5’8”-5’9”, Medium build, age 18-29, dark brown eyes, black hair
Wanted Poster 2: White Male, height unknown, thin build, age 18-29
