Santa Maria Bank Robbery

Investigators with the FBI and the Santa Maria Police Department are seeking information from the public leading to the identification or the whereabouts of a bank bandit responsible for robbing the Rabobank on North Broadway around noontime today in Santa Maria, California. During the robbery, the suspect passed a note written on the back of a deposit slip demanding cash and which further read, “I got a gun.” The suspect’s note also indicated that the victim teller had to comply with his demands so that nobody would be hurt.

The suspect was described by witnesses in the bank as a white male, approximately 40 years in age, between 5’8”-5’9” tall, 140 lbs or more, with “pinkish” skin and a shaved head. The suspect was wearing a navy blue, long-sleeved sweatshirt.

Bank surveillance photographs are below. Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact the FBI or dial 911. The FBI office responsible for the Central California Coast territory can be reached 24 hours a day at 888 CANT HIDE (888 226-8443).
