At approximately 2:45 p.m., the suspect entered the First Tennessee Bank located at 3900 Western Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee, displayed a note, demanded money, and reached across the counter and took money from the teller area. Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, age 20-25, approximately 5’4”-5’6” tall, with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat with “CAL” on the front, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, a dark-colored vest and black jeans.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot and entered a mid-1990s burgundy-colored sedan. A reward is being offered for any information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to please call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or KPD at 865-215-7212. This matter is being jointly investigated by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and the KPD Major Crimes Unit.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
