Serial Bank Robber

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announces a reward of up to $15,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for eight bank robberies in Oklahoma City, Norman, Midwest City and Edmond.

During each of the eight robberies, the individual wore a ski mask and was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol. During two robberies, the robber used his gun to strike fully compliant bank employees. In the most recent robbery, the robber forced employees and customers to the ground using a firearm.

The robber is described as a male, 5’7” to 5’9”, medium build, in his late 20’s to mid 30’s. In the Edmond robbery, he was seen fleeing in a maroon or red colored Ford Focus.

The same individual is believed responsible for the following robberies:

1) Bank of the West – 06/03/2009, 2122 W. Main, Norman
2) Bank of Oklahoma07/03/2009, 6517 NW Expressway, OKC
3) Bank of the West – 07/10/2009, 2122 W. Main, Norman
4) Bank of the West – 12/30/2009, 2122 W. Main, Norman
5) Bank of Oklahoma03/19/2010, 6517 NW Expressway, OKC
6) Bank of the West – 04/22/2010, 1101 N. Santa Fe, Edmond
7) Bank of the West – 05/01/2010, 1201 S. Air Depot, MWC
8) IBC Bank – 01/11/2011, 6233 N.W. Expressway, OKC

The investigation is being conducted by the FBI, Oklahoma City Police Department, Norman Police Department, Edmond Police Department and Midwest City Police Department.

A reward of up to $15,000 is being offered by the Bank of the West, and Oklahoma Bankers Association for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for the eight robberies.
