Border Patrol Trackers Find Stashed Bundles of Marijuana

Boulevard, Calif. — Early this morning, U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered numerous bundles of marijuana weighing more than 279 pounds abandoned near a home in the rural community of Tierra Del Sol.

At about 3:30 a.m., agents on patrol were tracking footprints near the U.S./Mexico border in Boulevard. The footprints led agents, assisted by a Border Patrol detector dog team, to 18 bundles of marijuana stacked against an abandoned home on

Agents transported the drugs to a nearby Border Patrol station where they were turned over to a multi-agency, anti-drug task force. No arrests were made in connection to the marijuana.

The U.S. Border Patrol continues to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat targeted transnational threats operating within the San Diego Sector area of influence. Since October 1, San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents have seized more than 49,000 pounds of marijuana.
