At approximately , CBP officers were conducting primary inspections when they came in contact with Teryl Kroening, a 44-year-old women identified as a U.S. Citizen.
Officers discovered that Kroening had an outstanding warrant out of Polk County , Minn. The warrant was discovered while conducting routine queries in the National Criminal Information Center .
After verification of the warrant, CBP officers arrested Kroening and turned her over to the custody of the Baudette Police Department pending extradition to Polk County .
“This arrest is just one example of the important role CBP officers perform in securing our nation’s borders,” said Baudette Port Director Shelly Kraft.
The National Criminal Information Center is a centralized automated data base designed to share information among law enforcement agencies. These warrants are for a wide range of offenses and include money laundering, robbery, narcotics distribution, sexual abuse of children, violation of protection order, fraud, failure to appear, larceny and military desertion.
