Arrest Suspect in the Shooting Death of Leonard Young
Pittsburgh, PA – Pittsburgh homicide suspect Justin Bonner
was apprehended at approximately 8:00 am this morning by members of the United
State Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force and the Pittsburgh
Bureau of Police. Bonner, age 18, was charged April 22, 2015 by the Pittsburgh
Bureau of Police with Criminal Homicide, Robbery and Conspiracy-Robbery-Inflict
Serious Bodily Injury following an investigation into the shooting death of
Leonard Young of Pittsburgh on April 18, 2015. Young was shot multiple times
and his body discovered inside a parked vehicle in the Mt. Arafat Church
parking lot in the Larimer Section of Pittsburgh
Bonner was last known to reside in the Larimer section of
Pittsburgh. Bonner was arrested without incident by U.S. Marshals Task Force
Officers and Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers at a residence in the 2900
block of Zephyr Street in Pittsburgh.
The Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force is comprised of
U.S. Marshals, Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Board of Probation and
Parole, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Allegheny County Sheriffs, and
Westmoreland County Sheriff’s. The WPAFTF is also supported by the United
States Attorney’s Office and is coordinated by the U.S. Marshals Service for
the Western District of Pennsylvania.
