Greensboro, NC – This morning at 9:30 AM, Jesse Ronald
James, a 45 year old male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive
Task Force (JFTF). James was arrested on outstanding warrants issued by the
Greensboro Police Department for Attempted First Degree Murder and Assault with
a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
On April 12, 2015, the Greensboro Police Department
responded to a service call at 1209 Woodnell Street in Greensboro. Upon arrival
the officers discovered a victim in need of medical attention. It is alleged
that the victim and James were in a verbal altercation that escalated when
James stabbed the victim with a knife twice in the chest. James then fled the
scene. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
On April 22, 2015, the JFTF developed information through
investigative efforts that James was staying at 1210 Vance Street in
Greensboro. The JFTF Investigators verified the information and converged on
the residence taking James into custody without incident. James was transported
to the Guilford County Jail where he is currently being held on the alleged
charges.
The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle
District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals
Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro
Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police
Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway
Patrol and the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of
Community Corrections – Probation & Parole.
