Cincinnati, OH – The U.S. Marshals’ Southern Ohio Fugitive
Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested fugitive Jimmy Stewart today on an
outstanding warrant from the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas, Cincinnati,
Ohio on a 6 count indictment charging him with Pandering Sexually Oriented
Material and 9 counts of Illegal Use of a Minor in Nude Materials.
Stewart, 35, was wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff's
Office on the sex offense charges and was located and arrested by SOFAST in a
residence in the Bellevue, Kentucky area.
U.S. Marshal Peter C. Tobin noted, “Fugitives wanted for
crimes committed against children are always a priority of SOFAST and our
partner law enforcement agencies.”
Stewart is currently in custody awaiting a court date to
decide his extradition to Ohio.
Cincinnati’s SOFAST is a fugitive focused; U.S. Marshals
Service led task force consisting of local, state, and federal authorities
including the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Cincinnati Police Department,
Colerain Township Police Department and the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.
U.S. Marshals are the nation’s primary fugitive hunting
organization and capture more fugitives each year than all other law
enforcement agencies combined.
