ATF and Firearms Industry Offer Reward in Washington Coin & Pawn Robbery, Washington, N.C.



CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) – the trade association for the firearms industry - have announced a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the robbery of the Washington Coin & Pawn Shop.

ATF is offering a reward in the amount of $5,000, which will be matched by the NSSF for a total reward of $10,000.

This reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between the NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving the robbery or theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers. ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms

On Feb. 23, 2015, around 10 a.m., three masked and unidentified males brandishing firearms entered the Washington Coin & Pawn Shop located at 822 Washington Street, Washington, N.C., 27889. The suspects forced the store employees into a back room. Afterwards, the suspects fled the scene with multiple firearms, jewelry and other items.

This violent crime is being investigated by ATF and the Washington Police Department.
