FBI Seeks Cold Shoulder Bandit


Individual Suspected in Three Bank Robberies

Denver metro area law enforcement and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) are investigating three bank robberies that recently occurred.

■Chase Bank, 8155 Sheridan Boulevard in Arvada, Colorado, July 25, 2012
■Compass Bank, 4600 South Broadway in Englewood, Colorado, August 4, 2012
■TCF Bank, 7203 West 55th Avenue in Arvada, Colorado, August 11, 2012

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age, 5’11” to 6’1” in height, 160 to 200 pounds, with a brown goatee.

This suspect had been dubbed the “Cold Shoulder Bandit” by the FBI RMSSTF.

The suspect enters the bank, presents a demand note, and flees.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.

The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
