Suspected in Three Bank Robberies
Denver metro area law enforcement and
the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force (RMSSTF) are investigating three
bank robberies that recently occurred.
■Chase Bank, 8155 Sheridan Boulevard in
Arvada, Colorado, July 25, 2012
■Compass Bank, 4600 South Broadway in
Englewood, Colorado, August 4, 2012
■TCF Bank, 7203 West 55th Avenue in
Arvada, Colorado, August 11, 2012
The suspect is described as a white or
Hispanic male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age, 5’11” to 6’1” in height,
160 to 200 pounds, with a brown goatee.
This suspect had been dubbed the “Cold
Shoulder Bandit” by the FBI RMSSTF.
The suspect enters the bank, presents a
demand note, and flees.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year
prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in
the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial
institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable
to robberies.
