submitted into the Integrated Automated Identification System (IAFIS) which
revealed that he had an active warrant for homicide submitted by the Omaha,
Nebraska Police Department in 1980.

outstanding offenses. The subject will also be processed for illegal entry into
the United States.
Bringing criminals to justice along our
nation’s borders is a common practice exercised by agencies under the umbrella
of the Department of Homeland Security, including the U.S. Border Patrol. This
case is a sparkling example of the ongoing commitment by U.S. Border Patrol
agents, in partnership with other law enforcement agencies, to ensure the
safety and security of our nation and communities to which they serve.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)
is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged
with the management, control, and protection of our Nation's borders at and between
the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and
terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
