Seeking Information on Bank Robber Who Shot Teller in Mercerville

The FBI is asking for assistance in identifying a bank robber who shot a teller at JP Morgan Chase Bank, 1850 Klockner Road, Mercerville, NJ shortly after 10 am today, August 23, 2011. The robber is described as a black male, 6’2” tall, athletic, muscular build, wearing a black ball cap, blue jeans, dark glasses, black gloves, tan work boots, and a dark-blue long sleeve shirt.

The robber entered the bank, approached the teller counter, waived and pointed a silver revolver at the teller and fired. He escaped on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash. The teller is currently at a nearby hospital undergoing surgery. No further information about the teller will be provided.

This suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Citizens should never attempt to apprehend any fugitive on their own and should call 9-1-1 in an emergency.
