FBI and San Diego Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robber

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public's assistance to identify the unknown male responsible for robbing the Wells Fargo Bank located inside of the Von's Grocery Store, 3550 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego, California, on Thursday, May 5, 2011.

On Thursday, May 5, 2011, at approximately 10:20 a.m. the Wells Fargo Bank located inside of the Von's Grocery Store, 3550 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego, California was robbed by an unknown male. At the time of the robbery, the robber walked into the bank and waited in line until called by the victim teller. Once at the counter, the robber produced a written demand note for cash. The robber also made a verbal demand for money. The victim teller provided the robber a sum of money. The robber was last seen with a black male who was wearing a gray shirt, tan shorts, and white shoes with black laces. Both males were seen running across the street towards the Game Stop store and jumped into a black vehicle that left north bound towards Aero Drive.

Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: Hispanic
Age: Approximately 25 years old
Height: Approximately 5'6" tall
Weight: Approximately 200 lbs.
Build: Heavy build
Hair/Coloring: Black
Clothing: Black baseball cap, black shirt, and black glasses
