Two U.S. Border Patrol Agents Killed

Two Arizona-based U.S. Border Patrol agents died this morning as a result of an on-duty vehicle accident involving a train just south of Gila Bend, Ariz., in the Yuma Sector area of responsibility. The incident is currently under investigation.

The names of the agents are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is the unified border agency within the Department of Homeland Security charged with the management, control and protection of our nation's borders at and between the official ports of entry. CBP is charged with keeping terrorists and terrorist weapons out of the country while enforcing hundreds of U.S. laws.
