Georgia Fugitive Arrested in Louisiana

ATLANTA—Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin and Special Agent in Charge David W. Welker, FBI New Orleans Field Office, announce the following arrest at New Orleans, Louisiana:

Chris Anthony Little, aka Antonio Maldonado, age 28, of Atlanta, Georgia, was arrested on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at approximately 7:00 a.m. in the 800 block of Belleville Street in New Orleans, Louisiana by agents and officers of the FBI New Orleans Violent Crime Task Force. Little is wanted by the Atlanta Police Department, where he is charged with murder in connection with a drug-related shooting.

On November 11, 2010, at approximately 8:20 p.m., it is alleged that Antonio Maldonado, aka Chris Little, along with Stephen Bradley Tatis (in custody), and an unidentified male attempted to rob Stephen B. Pierce (victim), age 30, of suspected marijuana by force using handguns. This occurred in the Buckhead area near 2960 Piedmont Road, Atlanta, Georgia. During the robbery, Pierce was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead on the scene as a result of his injuries.

A federal unlawful flight to avoid prosecution (UFAP) warrant was obtained by FBI Atlanta after it became clear that Little had fled the Atlanta area.

Little is currently being held in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he awaits extradition proceedings back to Atlanta, Georgia.

The public should be reminded that the above are merely allegations and the all persons are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
