U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Arrests Homicide Suspect in Steelton, PA



Harrisburg, PA – Today, U.S. Marshal Martin Pane announced the arrest of David Jackson, a 27-year-old man, for criminal homicide.

On January 15, task force officers from the Middle District of Pennsylvania arrested Jackson without incident in the 400 block of North Third Street, Steelton, PA. Jackson will be in the York County Prison pending judicial proceeding in this case.

Jackson was charged by the West York Borough Police Department for the shooting death of Lancelot Hylton which occurred on August 26, 2014. The USMS worked jointly in this investigation with personnel from the West York Borough Police Department, Steelton Police Department, Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole, Pennsylvania State Police, Harrisburg Bureau of Police and Dauphine County Probation.

United States Marshal Martin J. Pane stated, “The coordination and cooperation demonstrated by law enforcement in this case ensured that a dangerous fugitive was taken off the streets. It is our top priority to arrest violent crime fugitives, especially those who have no regard for human life.”
