Albuquerque, NM - The United States Marshal Service in New
Mexico, Task Force Officers assigned to the Marshals Service South West
Investigative Fugitive Team (SWIFT) Taskforce, New Mexico State Police and
Deputies with the Marshals Service in Arkansas and Missouri arrested Elisa
Charlene Blair-Ward and returned her children to her estranged husband Friday
evening. Blair-Ward is accused of kidnapping her two children from Taos after
custody was granted to the children’s father.
The United States Marshals Service assisted NM State Police
with locating Blair-Ward who was accused of kidnapping her two young daughters.
Blair-Ward fled New Mexico and Investigators believed she was in Arkansas. New
Mexico Deputy U.S. Marshals contacted the Marshals Service in Arkansas.
Deputies in Arkansas quickly learned that the Blair-Ward had fled to Missouri.
Once again the Marshals Service contacted its counterparts in Missouri and
Blair-Ward along with her two children were located and Blair-Ward was taken
into custody.
