Farmington, NM - Deputies and Task Force
Officers from the Southwest Fugitive Investigative Team (SWIFT) Task Force, in
Farmington NM, arrested Michael Padilla. Padilla was featured on the Marshals
Service District of New Mexico’s “New Mexico’s Most Wanted Program”. Padilla
has an extensive criminal history and was wanted on charges of distribution of
Methamphetamine.
Padilla a suspected member of the
“Southside Locos” had been on the Marshals Service New Mexico’s Most Wanted for
only about two weeks when investigators located him in a vehicle leaving a
residence they had been watching. When Deputies and TFO’s made contact with
Padilla he attempted to lie about his name but eventually admitted his true
identity. Padilla has warrants issued for him in both New Mexico and Colorado.
Padilla was booked into the San Juan County Detention Center and will face his
charges there before being extradited to Colorado.
