Robbery of Sovereign Bank Branch in Philadelphia


The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subjects responsible for the March 20, 2012 bank robbery at the Sovereign Bank branch located at 8310 Stenton Avenue.

At approximately 12:23 p.m., two subjects entered the bank and presented a threatening demand note to the teller. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subjects fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.

Subjects are described as African American males, thin builds, approximately 5’10” tall. They wore black clothing that covered their heads and bodies.

There may be a reward for information leading to this subject’s capture and tipsters may remain anonymous.
