FBI and Salt Lake City Police Department Seek Public’s Help in Locating Person of Interest Joseph Medina


The FBI and the Salt Lake City Police Department are requesting the public’s help in locating Joseph H. Medina. Medina is a person of interest in a drive-by shooting that occurred in Salt Lake City, Utah the night of Friday, March 23, 2012. The FBI Safe Streets Task Force, which is a collaboration of multiple law enforcement agencies, has been investigating the incident since it occurred and is asking for the public’s help in locating Medina. Anyone with information on Medina’s whereabouts is asked to call the FBI Salt Lake City Division at 801-579-1400 or the Salt Lake City Police Department at 801-799-3000. The public can also text a tip to Salt Lake City PD at CRIMES (274637). Start the text with the keyword “TIPSLCPD.” The public is reminded not to approach Medina and to instead contact law enforcement. Joseph Medina is described as a Hispanic male, 5’9” tall, 195 pounds, 25 years old, with tattoos on his face, neck, chest, and arms. As a reminder, tipsters can remain anonymous.
