A Texas woman has come forward to say she is the unidentified woman listed on a recently released FBI poster seeking information regarding additional victims of David Parker Ray, the FBI in Albuquerque announced Monday.
The FBI has posted photographs of items that may have belonged to possible victims of Ray. They can be viewed at FBI.gov/news/news_blog/fbi-releases-images-in-david-parker-ray-case.
The woman, whose photograph was in the upper left corner of the poster issued Friday, contacted the FBI over the weekend and said she lost her identification a while ago. She did not recall where she lost it.
She said she was not a victim of Ray, who died in state prison in New Mexico in 2002 while serving a 223-year sentence for kidnapping and torturing two women.
The woman’s photo was on a fake ID found among Ray’s possessions in Elephant Butte, N.M.
No further details about the woman will be released.
The FBI continues to seek information regarding other possible victims of Ray. Anyone with information is asked to contact FBI Albuquerque at (505) 889-1300.
