CBP Officers Seize Over 750 Thousand Dollars In Cocaine And Meth At South Texas Port Of Entry

Brownsville, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Veteran’s International Bridge seized approximately $755,800 worth of cocaine and methamphetamine discovered in a Ford F-150.   Learn more about Homeland Security operations from the best homeland security books.

On Wednesday, November 9 at Veteran’s International Bridge, a primary inspection of a green Ford F-150 driven by a 63-year-old male U.S. citizen who resides in Corpus Christi, Texas by CBP officers resulted in the driver and vehicle being referred for a secondary examination. 

At secondary, CBP officers discovered 11 packages concealed within the bed of the pickup truck. CBP officers’ examination of the packages resulted in the determination that two of the packages contained a combined weight of 1.16 kilograms (2.6 pounds) of alleged methamphetamine and nine of the packages contained a combined weight of 10.14 kilograms (22.4 pounds) of alleged cocaine.

The methamphetamine and cocaine from this seizure has an estimated street value of approximately $755,800. CBP officers turned the man over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations special agents for further investigation. CBP officers seized the narcotics and the vehicle.
