This morning at approximately 7:46 a.m, a Rapid Armored truck was parked at East 155th Street and 3rd Avenue in the Bronx to make a cash delivery to David’s Check Cashing. One of the Rapid Armored guards on the truck entered the check cashing location with a bag of currency. As he entered, he was followed into the business and accosted by two subjects, one of whom had a silver handgun. The suspects verbally demanded the money from the guard, a struggle ensued, and the guard was maced. The Rapid Armored guard drew his weapon and fired multiple shots as the suspects fled on foot with a large amount of cash.
A significant reward is available for a tip that breaks the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI immediately at 212-384-1000 or CrimeStoppers at 800-577-TIPS. As always, tipsters may remain anonymous.
