Wanted: The Desert Duo Bandits

PHOENIX, AZ—The FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force, Phoenix Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying The Desert Duo Bandits.

On 8/12/2011, the suspect entered the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union and presented a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect was last seen leaving the scene.

The suspect in this robbery is believed to be the same person who robbed the Desert Schools Federal Credit Union at 5690 W. Thunderbird Road in Glendale on 10/27/2011.

The following robberies are described below:

Phoenix, AZ

10/27/2011 at 3:59 p.m.

Glendale, AZ

11/8/2011 at 5:51 p.m.

11/9/2011 at 11:10 a.m.

3423 East Bell Rd
Phoenix, AZ

In each of the robberies, Suspect 1 enters the credit union and hands bank employees a note demanding money. In the 11/8/2011 robbery, Suspect 2 accompanied Suspect 1 into the credit union and stood behind Suspect 1 throughout the robbery. In the 11/8 photographs, Suspect 2 is the one in white sunglasses. In each of the robberies, the Suspect(s) fled the credit union on foot with U.S. currency. The Suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1: White male, 5’6” tall, 150 lbs, 20s, dark hair, sometimes with a small mustache
Suspect 2: White male, 6’1” tall, 180 lbs, late-20s, dark hair, short trimmed beard

The Desert Schools Federal Credit Union is offering up to $5,000.00 for original information leading to the arrest and conviction of these suspects.
