FBI and San Diego Police Seek Public’s Assistance to Identify Man Who Robbed US Bank on Balboa Avenue

The FBI and San Diego Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the man responsible for robbing the US Bank located at 5407 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, California, on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.

On Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at approximately 9:35 a.m. an unknown male entered the US Bank, located at 5407 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, California, and robbed an on-duty teller. At the time of the robbery, the robber walked up to the teller, lifted up his shirt to expose a weapon in his waistband. The robber placed his hand on the weapon and made a verbal demand for money from the teller. The teller complied with the robber’s demand and provided a sum of money. The robber walked quickly out of the bank and was observed getting into the driver’s side of a late-model Mercury four-door sedan with a tan vinyl top and gray body color. The vehicle was last seen traveling east on Balboa Avenue.

The robber is described as follows:

Sex: Male
Race: White
Age: Approximately 60 years old
Height: Approximately 5’10” tall
Build: Medium
Hair: Gray curly hair
Clothing: Navy blue long sleeve shirt without collar, light blue jeans, tennis shoes, baseball cap blue and tan in color, bearing the St. Louis Rams logo
Vehicle: Late-model Mercury four-door sedan, with tan vinyl top and gray body color.
Weapon: Handgun
