At approximately 12:30 p.m., the suspect entered the Mountain National Bank located at 2140 Winfield Dunn Parkway in Kodak, Tennessee, and verbally demanded money from a bank employee. Witnesses described the suspect as a heavy-set white male in his late 20s to mid-30s, approximately 5’10” to 6’2” tall, and weighing approximately 210 to 240 pounds. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a gray jacket with black sleeves with a small gray stripe down each sleeve, and white tennis shoes with gray stripes. He was also wearing a two-toned baseball style cap with a dark bill and black- rimmed eyeglasses.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of money, the suspect fled the scene in a white, late model vehicle (possibly a Hyundai Tucson) with a small, power “T” sticker on the rear window . A reward is being offered for any information which leads to the arrest of this individual. Anyone with information is asked to please call the Knoxville FBI at 865-544-0751 or the SPD at 865-453-5506. This matter is being investigated jointly by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force (which consists of personnel from the FBI, KPD, and KCSO) and the SPD.
