Philadelphia Man Charged with Bank Fraud

May 5, 2010 - Michael Alexander was charged today by Indictment on charges that between November 2 and November 9, 2009, he committed bank fraud, attempted bank fraud, and aggravated identity theft, in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy.

INFORMATION REGARDING THE DEFENDANTS

Michael Alexander Philadelphia, PA 26

If convicted the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 34 years' imprisonment, five years' supervised release, a $1,500,000 fine and a $300 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Lansdowne Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Scott M. Cullen.
