FBI and St. James Deputies Seek Public’s Assistance in Identifying Bank Robber

David W. Welker, Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division of the FBI, and St. James Parish Sheriff Willy Martin announce today’s robbery of the First American Bank located at 2161 Hwy 3125, Lutcher, Louisiana.

At approximately 1:29 p.m. today, a clean shaven white male, wearing blue pants and a tan straw cowboy hat. entered the bank, approached a teller, then threatened her and demanded money. He placed the money in a plastic ziplock type of bag and fled the bank. The robber, depicted in the image below, is further described as having grey hair and a red face with wrinkles. He is 55-60 years old, and approximately 5’8” with a medium build. No one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Saint James Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-562-2200 or the FBI at 504-816-3000. The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000. for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.
