Wanted - The "Déjà Vu Bandit"



January 25, 2010 - The Phoenix FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the "Déjà vu Bandit." On January 19, 2010, the unknown male entered the US Bank located at 3530 W. Southern Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. He approached the merchant teller and verbally demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank on foot.

On January 21, 2010, the unknown male entered the Arizona Federal Credit Union located at 1505 E. Southern Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. He approached the teller counter and presented a demand note but the teller could not read it. He then gave a verbal demand for money to the teller. He was given an undisclosed amount of money. He wiped the counter with his sleeve then fled the bank on foot.

The Déjà vu Bandit is described as a Black male, mid 20’s to 30’s, 5’6’’ – 6’0”, 150 lbs. – 170lbs., medium complexion, thin mustache and goatee, right hand injury (no further description), wearing a black knit cap, black jacket with white stripes from the shoulder down to the sleeve, and blue jeans.

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is comprised of the Phoenix Police Department, the Mesa Police Department, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the Scottsdale Police Department, and the FBI.
