First Degree Murder Suspect Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Greensboro, North Carolina



Greensboro, NC - The hunt for the person responsible for taking the life of Delmorio Lamontae Blockson of Winston-Salem is over. On May 27, 2015, at approximately 03:19 AM the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a shooting at the 1600 block of East 25th Street. Upon arrival officers discovered Mr. Blockson had been fatally shot.

On the same date, an arrest warrant was issued for Anthony Ordell Abran, a 37 year old male, charging him with First Degree Murder. On May 28, 2015, the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) developed information through investigative efforts that Abran was staying at the 800 block of Remount Court, apartment 19 in Greensboro, NC. At approximately 7:50 PM last night the JFTF and the Winston-Salem Police Department SWAT team verified the information and surrounded and converged on the apartment. Upon entry Abran surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. Abran was transported to the Forsyth County Jail where he is currently being held on the alleged charge.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of Community Corrections – Probation & Parole.
