Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals Service, Vermont Violent
Offender Task Force (VVOTF) arrested a fugitive who was wanted for assault and
robbery with a firearm resulting in injury, burglary, and unlawful mischief
charges.
Jerome Stewart, 25, of St. Albans, Vermont was arrested on
April 17, 2014 in Winooski, VT. Stewart was wanted by the Burlington Police
Department for assault and robbery with a firearm resulting in Injury,
burglary, and unlawful mischief charges and was wanted since February 2014. A warrant
was issued for his arrest on February 28, 2014.
Stewart has a history of drug, assault, parole, and stolen
property related violations in Chittenden County. These offenses include
cocaine possession, assault, aggravated domestic assault, receiving stolen
property, and parole violations.
The arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative
efforts by the U.S. Marshals Service in the District of Vermont, the Vermont
State Police, the Winooski Police Department and Homeland Security
Investigations.
