Fugitive of the Week Surrenders to Local Police Department

Concord, NH – On Monday, last week’s Fugitive of the Week, Daniel Scott King, surrendered to the Northwood Police Department. Daniel King, 24, who was last known to live in Northwood and Manchester, NH was wanted on an outstanding Merrimack County arrest warrant for possession of heroin and false report to law enforcement. Although this is not a major case, King’s criminal history warranted the attention of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

As part of the U.S. Marshal’s fugitive investigation, King was aired on April 17, as the 'Fugitive of the Week'. The 'Fugitive of the Week' is broadcast on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat and is prominently featured on the internet.

After King was featured as the Fugitive of the Week, members of the Fugitive Task Force had spoken extensively with concerned family members regarding King. The efforts of both family members and the fugitive task force resulted in King’s surrender on Monday to the Northwood Police Department on this outstanding criminal matter.

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 5,523 arrests. These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
