Seeks Cross-Dressing Bandit
The Capital One Bank (Eastover Branch)
located at 5696 Bullard Road in New Orleans, Louisiana, was robbed today (July
14, 2012), at approximately 10:41 a.m. The robber approached a teller,
presented a demand note, and implied having a weapon.
Witnesses described the robber as a
black male, late 20s to early 30s, 5’4” to 5’8” tall, with a medium build. He
was wearing black pants; a women’s blue blouse; a shoulder-length, brown, curly
wig; sunglasses; heavy make-up; and black, old-style tennis shoes with white
bottoms. The robber was also carrying a black, women’s handbag on his left arm,
and was wearing sculptured finger nails. Below is a bank surveillance image:
The robber made his escape from the bank
with an undisclosed amount of money and fled West on Lake Forest Blvd.
Authorities are looking into the
possibility that this same individual is responsible for the robbery of the
Liberty Bank in Gentilly on Friday, June 22.
Anyone with information about this bank
robbery is asked to call the FBI at 504-816-3000. The Metropolitan Orleans Bank
Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for
information leading to the arrest and indictment of this bank robber.

individuals.
