Attempted Robbery of Compass Bank Branch in Denver
February 16, 2010 - An attempted bank robbery occurred at the Compass Bank, 4115 E. Colfax Ave., 02/13/2010, at approximately 9:15 a.m.
The suspect was described as a white male, 25 to 35 years of age, 5'10, with a thin build.
The suspect is believed to be the "$83 BANDIT."
The suspect presented a demand note, received NO money, and fled.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
