Dayton, OH – This afternoon at approximately 1:00 p.m., the
U.S. Marshal’s Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST)
coordinated the arrest of Gustavo Gordilla, age 36. The Dayton Police
Department filed a warrant through the Montgomery County Court for Attempted
Rape of a Child Under 10. The charges stem from an incident that was reported
in July of 2015. Dayton detectives have been working nonstop on the case.
Through the investigation, detectives developed information
that Gordilla was currently at an address on Parker Road Avenue in Dallas,
Georgia. The U.S. Marshals out of Dayton reached out to their counterparts in
Atlanta, GA for assistance. The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Task Force
quickly responded to the request and arrested Gordilla without incident.
Gordilla will remain in the Northern District of Georgia until he can be
extradited back to Ohio.
