Greensboro Man Wanted for Armed Robbery Arrested by Task Force



Greensboro, NC – This morning at approximately 10:30 AM, Devon Tyshan Walker, a 17 year old, male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) and the Greensboro Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT). Walker was wanted by the Greensboro Police Department for Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

On June 27, 2015, it is alleged that Walker conspired with two others and robbed a victim of their belongings at gunpoint at the 200 block of Hazelwood Drive in Greensboro. Walker is accused of brandishing a handgun during the incident.

The arrest comes after a lengthy fugitive investigation conducted by the VCAT and the JFTF. The JFTF developed information that Walker was staying at 408 Marshall Street in Greensboro. Members of the JFTF verified the information and converged and surrounded the residence. Walker was taken into custody without incident at the back door of the residence. Walker was transported to the Guilford County Jail where he is currently being held on the alleged charges.

The U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force for the Middle District of North Carolina is comprised of investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service, Chapel Hill Police Department, Durham Police Department, Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department, Winston-Salem Police Department, Alamance County Sheriff’s Office, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, Department of Community Corrections – Probation & Parole.
