Agents Spotlight Kidnapped Girl’s Shoes in Attempt to Generate New Leads to Find Her

Search for 13-Year-Old Hania Noelia Aguilar Continues

The Lumberton Police Department and the FBI are asking the public to be on the lookout for a pair of shoes that belong to 13-year-old Hania Noelia Aguilar. Hania’s family recently purchased a new and very distinctive pair of sneakers for her. They are Adidas brand, white sneakers with black stripes, and colorful stitching on the back heel of the shoe. “Think through what you’ve seen since November 5th, have you seen a discarded pair of shoes, did someone try to sell you shoes, did they show up in a donation bin? We want to make sure we draw attention to the shoes because they are distinctive and the kidnapper could try and get rid of them for that reason,” said FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Andy de la Rocha. Investigators have run down dozens of leads over the last few weeks related to the shoes, now is the appropriate time to ask for additional help from the community as a precautionary measure to make sure we've exhausted all

options with the shoes.

Hania is a Hispanic female, 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 126 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt with flowers and blue jeans.

In the weeks since Hania was kidnapped, the Lumberton Police Department and the FBI have followed more than 800 leads, interviewed more than 400 people, reviewed hours of surveillance footage, and followed every conceivable lead in an effort to find Hania.

Hania was outside her home at the Rosewood Mobile Home Park located at 3525 Elizabethtown Road, Lumberton, North Carolina on November 5, 2018, just before 7:00 a.m. A man dressed in all black shoved her into a family member’s SUV and drove away. The stolen SUV was found on November 8, 2018, off Quincey Drive in Lumberton, North Carolina. It is vitally important we find every piece of video that may help us determine the exact movements of the stolen SUV. Anyone with home or business surveillance cameras or deer cameras in Robeson County should call the tip line immediately at 910-272-5871. We need any video from Robeson County, specifically along Highway 41/Elizabethtown Road and any side streets, especially along Popes Crossing Road, Wire Grass Road, and Lovett Road.
