Registration Open for National Institute of Justice Research for the Real World Seminar: What Works in Reentry


On Monday, Oct. 29, NIJ will host its next Research for the Real World panel, "What Works in Reentry." This webinar focuses on the role and importance of institutional and community corrections, and rehabilitative and reentry services in crime prevention and public safety efforts.

The seminar, which runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m., will support NIJ and the field in furthering the corrections and reentry research agenda, and in advancing the knowledge of the Federal Interagency Council on Crime Prevention and Improving Reentry.
Panelists include:
  • Chief Terri McDonald, Chief Probation Officer, Los Angeles County Probation Department
  • Grant Duwe, Ph.D., Director of Research and Evaluation, Minnesota Department of Corrections
  • John Wetzel, Secretary of Corrections, Pennsylvania Department of Corrections
