VALOR for Blue Releases New Roll Call Video, Spotlight on Safety

VALOR for Blue, a program of the Bureau of Justice Assistance, recently launched two new resources for sworn law enforcement officers.

Visit the VALOR for Blue e-learning portal to check out a new roll call video, "Ordinary or Extraordinary?" This video challenges viewers to reexamine their roles as law enforcement professionals, focusing on the importance of treating a job as more than "just a job;" how professionalism directly affects safety; the definition of "professional" in law enforcement; and what it means to be a scholar, a statesman and a guardian.

The program has also introduced a new Spotlight on Safety, "Ambush Attacks Against Law Enforcement: Safety and Prevention Strategies." It offers practical information for law enforcement personnel to protect and defend themselves from ambush-style attacks. Resources include an article, printable posters, a podcast, online training and a webinar.
All VALOR for Blue resources require a valid VALOR for Blue account. Sworn law enforcement officers can register for an account at https://www.valorforblue.org/Register.aspx.
