A Youngtown man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for
narcotics offenses, law enforcement officials said.
Terrence D. Howell, 43, previously pleaded guilty to
possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and maintaining a drug
house.
Howell possessed more than 28 grams of crack cocaine on
April 30, 2014, with the intent to distribute the drugs. He also used a home on
Arch Street in Youngstown to distribute and manufacture crack cocaine from
February through April 2014, according to court documents.
“We will continue to work with our partners to lock up those
who attempt to flood Youngstown with drugs,” U.S. Attorney Steven M. Dettelbach
said.
“I would like to express my appreciation for the dedicated
work of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force on this case,” ATF
Special Agent in Charge Donald Soranno said. “Cooperative efforts with our law
enforcement partners enhance our ability to remove violent criminals from the
streets and make our communities safer.”
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney David M.
Toepfer following an investigation by the ATF and the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement
Task Force.
