Burlington, VT - The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Vermont
Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF) arrested a Vermont fugitive who was wanted
for Escape from Custody-Furlough, amongst other charges.
Nina Keus, age 34, of Colchester was arrested by the VVOTF
with the assistance of the USMS New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force on
02/05/15 in New Ipswich, NH. A warrant was issued for Keus in Vermont on
01/12/15 by the Chittenden Criminal Court for Escape from Custody-Furlough.
The USMS Vermont Violent Offender Task Force was contacted
by the Burlington Office of Probation and Parole seeking assistance in locating
Keus as she was actively evading arrest. Keus has outstanding charges for
Escape, Retail Theft, Resisting Arrest, Violation of Conditions of Release,
Burglary and Unlawful Trespass.
Keus was lodged at Hillsborough County Department of
Corrections and is to be arraigned on 02/06/15 as a Fugitive from Justice.
Keus’ arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative
efforts by the U.S. Marshals VVOTF, the USMS New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task
Force, the Vermont State Police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
(ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations.
